I'm Coach Matty, and I am a proud goalie dad. I am an elementary school educator, and have been a teacher and principal for the last 15 years. I have been a goalie my whole life and from the moment I stopped playing competitively, I started coaching goalies. I worked at a local goalie training facility, the Mayfair Goalie Crease, where I was one of the head instructors. I worked with goalies of all ages, from U7 all the way up to Midget AAA, Junior and even had the chance to work out a few goalies playing pro during their off seasons.
My love for coaching and seeing goalies grow and develop is what guided me toward education. This background is what gives me the unique ability to teach young goalies and help them improve, going beyond their on ice play and supporting the whole athlete in their development.
What to expect:
I will come to your kids practice and will work with the coach to deliver specific, tailored and relevant training for your goalie.
